Test the stitches on a folded piece of fabric to ensure that the tension is alright.
Place the fabric in the machine so that the bulk of the clothes is at the left hand side where there is space for it.
Push both thread towards the back of the machine.
Lower the needle into the position required.
Lower the presser foot and begin to sew
