SEARCH ENGINES

A search engine is an information retrieval system designed to help find information stored on a computer system such as the World Wide Web (WWW).

The world wide web is the fastest-growing part of the internet and it takes the form of websites organized into pages where graphics, sound, pictures and videos are used with text to present information on every topic.

A search engine is a program that searches through a large volume of data to retrieve information, according to the specific instruction it has been given.
