The Birth of Moses

Welcome to class!

In today’s class, we’re going to be talking about the birth of Moses. I trust you will enjoy the class!

The Birth of Moses

The Birth of Moses

A long time ago, in the land of Egypt, there was a baby boy whose story would become very famous. His name was Moses, and his birth was a tale of bravery and faith.

A Difficult Time

Moses was born at a time when the Pharaoh, the ruler of Egypt, was afraid of the Israelites. He was worried they would become too powerful, so he made a very mean rule that all baby boys from the Israelite families should not be allowed to live.

A Mother’s Love

The Birth of Moses

Moses’ mother wanted to save her son. She hid him for three months, but as he grew, it became harder to keep him a secret. So, she came up with a plan. She made a basket that could float and put baby Moses inside it.

Floating to Safety

She placed the basket in the river Nile, hoping someone kind would find her son and save him. And someone did! The Pharaoh’s daughter found the baby while she was bathing in the river. She felt sorry for the little baby and decided to take care of him.

Growing Up in the Palace

The Pharaoh’s daughter named the baby Moses, which means ‘to draw out’ because she drew him out of the water. Moses grew up in the palace as her son, not knowing that he was actually an Israelite.

Conclusion

The story of Moses’ birth is just the beginning of his amazing journey. It shows us that sometimes, when things seem very scary, there can be hope and kindness around the corner.

We have come to the end of today’s class. I hope you enjoyed the class!

In the next class, we shall be discussing how the Israelites Cross the Red Sea.
