The Dangers of Drug Abuse
Hello, young friends! Today we’re going to learn about something very important: the dangers of drug abuse. It’s when people use medicines or other substances in ways that can hurt them.
What is Drug Abuse?
Drug abuse is when someone takes medicine that a doctor didn’t give them, uses more than they’re supposed to, or uses it to feel different instead of to get better.
Why is Drug Abuse Dangerous?
– Health Problems: Drug abuse can make you very sick. It can hurt your heart, your brain, and even make it hard to breathe.
– Trouble in School: It can make it hard to pay attention in class, learn new things, and get along with friends.
– Bad Decisions: When people abuse drugs, they might do things they wouldn’t normally do, like breaking rules or being unsafe.
Staying Safe
– Listen to Your Doctor: Only use medicine that your doctor says is okay.
– Say No to Sharing: Never take medicine that is meant for someone else.
– Talk to an Adult: If you’re ever unsure or feel pressured, talk to a trusted adult.
Conclusion
Drugs can be helpful when used the right way, but very harmful if misused. Always remember to use medicine safely and under the guidance of a doctor or your parents.
