We are children of one father

God is the father of all human being in the whole world whether you are black or black!  Isn’t that great?

This week, we will be talking about the fatherhood of God and brotherhood of man to us and the significance of being in Christ, son of God.

 

The fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man. (John 1:12, 3:1-12, Mathew 5:21-24)

God is our father and we are all his children. In John 1:12, the bible says we are all children of God.

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”

As God’s children, we are all brothers and sisters. It does not matter where we come from. It does not matter whether we come from the North, the South, the East, or the West; whether we speak same language or different language we are all brothers and sisters.

And Jesus said we should not quarrel or fight with one another because we are children of the same father.

If we offend one another, we should settle the quarrel and make peace. We should not hold grudges against one another. We should settle any quarrel we have with people before going to church to worship God or offer gifts at His altar.

“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.”

As children of one father, we should live in peace with one another.

Significance of being in Christ, son of God.

1. You are loved by God.
2. You are redeemed and forgiven of all your sins.
3. You have become the Lord chosen.
4. All your prayers will be answered.

 

Moral lessons

1.We should live in peace with people.

2.We should always thank God for the privilege given to us to be His children.

3.We should love one another as children of one father.

4.We should live in peace with people.
