Now Let’s Embark on Our Learning Adventure

Don`t forget that we’re still explorers. And right now, our mission is to understand information through pictures and other visuals. 🕵️‍♀️🔍

Now let’s get started!

The Animal Kingdom Chart

The Animal Kingdom Chart

Once upon a time, there was a magical chart that showed us the amazing animal kingdom. From lions to dolphins, each animal had its place. 🦁🐬

Question Time:

What do you think the magical chart is about?

Can you name one animal that might be on the chart?

Let’s become the animals from the chart! I want you to show me how a lion moves, and how a dolphin swims.

Reading Visuals: Pictures, Illustrations, Tables, Charts, Graphs

Pictures and illustrations show us things we can’t touch. Can you tell me about something you’ve seen in a picture before?

Tables and charts help organize information. Can you think of a time when you’ve seen a table?

Now we have come to the end of the class for today. In today`s class we have learnt that maps are like pictures that show us where things are, and that visuals help us to understand big ideas and facts. They show us information in a different way.

We have come to the end of today’s class. I hope you really enjoyed the class!

In the next class, we shall be talking about vocabulary acquisition

Class work:

I want you to draw your favorite animal from the “Animal Kingdom Chart” and tell me one thing you learned from it.

I want you to ask a family member to show you a picture or a chart, and tell them what you think it’s showing!
