Roles of Members of the Family

Hi! Welcome back to class.

Every family member has a role to play in the home to make the home successful and peaceful.

DUTIES OF THE FATHER:

1. The father is the head of the family
2. The father provides the necessities of life (shelter, clothing, food etc)
3. The father respects the mother of his children.
4. The father shows love and care for the children.
5. The father protects the family from any harm.

 

DUTIES OF THE MOTHER:

1. The mother ensures that food is well prepared
2. The mother takes care of the children
3. The mother also assists the father in making their home better
4. The mother should share with the husband the daily work of the home and care of the children.
5. The mother makes sure the house is neat and tidy.

DUTIES OF THE CHILDREN:

1. The children run errands for their parents
2. They respect their parents.
3. They assist their parents at home especially during house chores.
4. They take care of one another especially if their parents are not around.
