In today’s class, we’re going to explore two essential hygiene habits – bathing and hand washing. These habits are like our secret weapons against germs and dirt.
Bathing and Hand Washing
Bathing and hand washing are crucial for personal hygiene. They help us stay clean, prevent illness, and keep ourselves and others safe.
Bathing
Frequency: Take a bath or shower regularly, especially after activities that make you sweaty or dirty.
Soap and Water: Use soap and water to wash your entire body, including your face, neck, arms, legs, and private areas.
Hair Care: Wash your hair with shampoo to keep it clean and free from dirt and oil.
Scrub Gently: Use a washcloth or sponge to scrub your skin gently, removing dead skin cells and dirt.
Rinse Thoroughly: Make sure to rinse off all the soap and shampoo to avoid skin irritation.
Hand Washing
When to Wash: Wash your hands before eating, after using the restroom, and after touching dirty objects or surfaces.
Use Soap: Use soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Don’t forget to wash between your fingers and under your nails.
Scrub and Rub: Rub your hands together, palm to palm, between your fingers, and under your nails. Scrub thoroughly.
Rinse and Dry: Rinse your hands well with water and dry them with a clean towel or air dryer.
Bathing and hand washing are simple but powerful habits that help us stay clean and healthy. By following these habits, we can protect ourselves and those around us from germs and illnesses.
