In today’s Christain Religious Studies class, We will be learning about God Control over the Universe. We hope you enjoy the class!
How God controls the universe:
Gen. 1:26-27 shows that the plan of God from the time of creation is to use man to control all the things that he created. He said,
“…let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, birds of the air, the cattle and all the creeping things that creeps upon the Earth.”
The above passage shows that since the time of creation God’s plan was to have man control all the things that he created. Although God has control over the universe, he has handed over the control of other creatures to man.
However, he’s accountable to God.
How man controls other creatures: Man is accountable to God who created him in his own image because God gave man control over all other creatures, this is not to say Man is equal to God in any way. Certainly, God has control over everything including man. God gave to man all things that he created, he has provisions for food, shelter among other things needed for his existence. God made all things beautiful for his glory and for the comfort of Man. He also commanded all the creatures to increase and multiply, so that man can continue to use them and live on Earth.
However, man sinned in that he ate the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil which was in the middle of the garden. God had warned man before not to do this.
Significant lessons from this topic.
- God created a habitat for all things and provided for their sustenance. He also gave them the power to increase and multiply. This shows God has absolute control over all creatures.
- Man is at the top of all that God created because God gave him dominion over all of them animal fishes, birds etc.
- God has absolute power on Man who still depends on him for his sustenance and continued existence.
- Man is accountable to God for all his actions on Earth.
