Safety measures in applying chemicals

Safety measures in applying chemicals

In the last lesson, it was established that pesticides and herbicides are important materials required for crop production. However, like every other thing, there are consequences when too much of it is applied.

A moderate quantity of chemical must be used on plants. If used in excess, it may cause the following problems:

  1. Destruction of the soil structure.
  2. Destruction of soil organisms.
  3. Pollution of the environment.
  4. Death of animals in nearby streams and rivers.
  5. Death of animals in the streams results in air pollution.
