DEFINITION
Meaning of maintenance
Maintenance is the act of keeping something(equipment) in good condition by making repairs, correcting problems. It is also the process of causing something to exist without changing.
IMPORTANCE OF MAINTENANCE
- The main purpose of regular maintenance is to ensure that all equipment is in good condition, that is, operating at 100% at all times.
- Leads to quick detection of problems on equipment.
- Prevent major problems leading to destruction
- Maintenance also helps equipment stay in good working conditions.
