Do you remember our last class when we talked about planting seeds? 🌱 We learned how to prepare the soil and put the seeds in the ground. Today, we’re going to learn what happens next, and it’s super exciting!
Okay, let’s imagine you have a magic seed that you want to plant. What do you think we need to do next? Yes, that’s right! We need to water it! 💧
Water For Plants
Just like when you’re thirsty, you need a drink, right? Well, our plant is thirsty too! We give it a nice drink of water to help it grow big and strong. But not too much water, just the right amount, like when you drink from your water bottle.
Real-life Example: Imagine you have a little flower pot with a tiny plant inside. You can use a small cup of water to gently pour it around the plant’s roots. The plant will soak up the water and say, “Thank you, I feel refreshed!” 🌼
Importance of Sun For Plants
Now, here’s something exciting! After we water our plant, we need to give it sunlight. 🌞 Just like you feel happy playing in the sun, plants also love sunlight. It helps them make food and grow tall and strong.
Picture the sun as a giant spotlight shining on our magic seed, making it feel warm and happy. Plants use the sunlight to turn water and air into yummy food!
Have you ever seen a sunflower? 🌻 They grow really tall because they love the sun so much! So, our magic seed will stretch its little leaves towards the sun, just like a sunflower reaching for the sky.
Summarily, today, we learned two important things today: watering our plants and giving them sunlight. Just like we need food and sunlight to be healthy, plants need water and sunlight to grow big and strong.
Classwork:
Now, it’s your turn to have some fun! Find a small plant at home or in your garden. Water it gently and put it in a sunny spot. Watch it every day and see how it grows. You’re like a plant scientist!
