Welcome to class!
In today’s class, we’re going to continue our exciting journey into the world of insects with a very important lesson on “Exercising Care When Controlling Harmful Insects.” It’s like learning to be bug heroes with a big heart!
Insects: Exercising Care When Controlling Harmful Insects II
Imagine you’re protecting your garden from pesky insects, but we need to remember to be kind while doing it. Just like we treat our friends with care, we should treat insects with care too.
When we control harmful insects, we want to make sure we’re doing it in a way that’s safe for everyone.
Think of it like this: Imagine you have a special spray that keeps insects away. Instead of spraying it everywhere, you only spray it where it’s needed, like a gentle breeze. 🌬️
Exercising Care
Have you ever seen a ladybug in your garden? 🐞 They are our friends and help keep the bad insects away. We should never harm our helpful insect buddies while trying to get rid of the naughty ones.
Another way we can be kind is by not using too much of anything. Just like we don’t eat too many cookies, we don’t want to use too much insect spray or other methods.
Picture this: You have a plate of yummy cookies. You eat a few, but if you eat too many, it’s not healthy. The same goes for insect control. We use just the right amount to protect our plants.
Sometimes, if we use too much insect spray, it can hurt the soil and water in our garden. We want our garden to be a happy, healthy place for plants and insects alike.
So, today, we learned that while protecting our plants from harmful insects is important, we should always do it with care and kindness.
Classwork:
Here’s a thoughtful task for you! Draw a picture of a ladybug in your garden. Think about how ladybugs help your plants, and write a sentence or two about why you like having them around.
