An adverb tells us more about something is done.

Tola walked slowly                                                She ate quickly

Adverbs tell us when and where something is done.

WHEN? I saw my friend today

WHEN did I see my friend?                                  Today.

I will iron my dress later

When will I iron my dress?                                    Later

Where? I have put the books here

Where have you put the books?                      Here

I looked everywhere for the cat.

Where have you looked for the dog?            Everywhere.

Animals and Plants.

We all have families. There are brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, uncles, aunts and grandparents. Often, we look like other people in our family.

There are also animal families. For example, lions, leopards, cheetahs and tigers are all part of the cat family.

                       

Animals in the cat                                                                 Plants have leaves, flowers,

family have four legs,                                                             a stem and roots. The flowers

a tail, whiskers and claws.                                                         Usually change into fruit.

There are plant families too. Bananas and plantains belong to the same family. They look similar and grow on trees.

Sometimes, plants of the same family do not look similar. Tomatoes, eggplants, red peppers and potatoes all belong to the same family.
